Hi everybody... I just wanted to introduce myself, and hope I do this correctly...I am a newbie to this world, but thankfully in a matter of a few days, have found out so much information, been to the correct Dr's, and am still frightened to death, not knowing. Ive been through some diffucult days, relating much to what I have read here, but inhale at all the stories, knowing I havent been through anything as much as any of you. I think my biggest worry is am I done with the cycle, or Ive just been lucky the past four days. Having the fear of that beast arriving is something that I pray that this is all just a dream. Thank you for these pages, the abundant information, the eloquant posts and writings in the guest book, the newletters...I have had many a tear, with my journey already, and just reading all here. We all must push forward...probably something a newbie would say, not knowing. Pushing forward in the aspects of pushing to get this out there, research, always being as positive as we can to make things happen, and to inform any and all who need us. I am here, and will be there, even though I cant offer as much now, but trust me these pages have given me hope, and I thank each and everyone of you for that!!! Pat

Understand your anxiety. A four day cycle would have me on edge wondering if I could be so lucky. Hope the luck is with you.

Hi! I am relatively new also and like you when I read some of these posts I thank God my situation is not like theirs. At 51 I have only been through 2 cycles and when the first cycle was gone for 5 years I thought they would never come back-but they did. Although it took a while to find out what I had-I was lucky and did find something that worked for me (both times) The pain I experienced 5 years ago before I knew it had a name was the most horrible thing I had ever experienced (and I delivered 11 lb. babies naturally) Until I read some of these stories, I never realized how "good" I had it- Jabeen

Welcome to the board! Sorry that the beast is holding you down, bashing your head in, filling the dent in with nitro, and blowing your head into a billion pieces, then stickin' the pieces back together with molten steel, only to start the process all over again. Welcome to the family! PFDAN......................... Drk^Angel

Welcome to our little corner. I guess you've been looking around and have some idea of just how strange we can be. One thing about CH is that although it's beyond horrible, it isn't dangerous and causes no permanent damage.....how lucky can we be? I'm amazed at what I've been able to learn here. Like you I was a puddle of tears while reading the guest book. I had no idea there were so many who battled this horror. Stick around and tell us more. We need new blood and the responses may be thin this weekend because of the Vancouver convention. Help us keep things lively. Glad to have you here. Charlie

Welcome to the family. Sorry you needed to search out a site such as this. Hope you stick around and join in on the threads regardless of wheather you are in cycle or not. As some here put it - "Gab an oar and help row the boat".
