I know this should probably be over in the meds section but I noticed that there was a question here about them. I just wanted to let you know that I have ordered gel caps from the health food store and Greg is going to take his next dose that way instead of the tea. We will keep you posted on how it works out and if he takes another excursion to visit God. LOL
Have a blast in Vancover folks, and Elaine, Margi has a special hug for you from me.  Wish with all my heart we could be there too.

Thanks Monique,
I'm intrested in the result's, as long as they wont get me high I'll give them a try. I got enough vice's (smoking, drinking, porn and eating chicken head"s raw) to fall back into one I've beat'in.

I don't beleave that taking dried shrooms in gel capsules, compaired with the tea, may show a n y other advantage apart from the only one that you don't feel the pretty ugly taste of the shroom broth.
Reading the respective literature you learn that shrooms - whether dried or fresh - ingested as substance usually cause flatulence and even abdominal spasms, while this effect is much weaker using tea. And the shroom effect remains in both cases the same.
But let's await your experiances...

As an experienced shroomhead and clusterhead I strongly recommend not wasting good shrooms by making tea, any excessive heat will destroy the entheogens psilocybin & psilocin, I have made gel capsules filled with powdered shrooms and they worked fine, 1 gram fit into 2 large capsules but the process of stuffing the capsules was a pain even with the little tray type loading machine. My personal recommendation is to just eat them, chew 'em up good and swallow, wash them down with orange juice or something then kick back & enjoy the ride(I realize your probably doing them for ch remission, but you might as well enjoy it!) By the way, after the last time I did shrooms I had 3 years of complete remission from ch, but then I was eating large quantities pretty regularly(like 1/4 oz. at a time once a month for a year, saw God? hell, I became God) that kind of usage does weird shit to your perceptions, Good luck!! LOL, sorry jonny you're still going to get high with the caps. (so I am told) but according to some I have spoken too the tummy problems are far less with the caps than with the tea. Though mixing the shrooms with ginger herbal tea seems to help allot. The caps were cuz some of the folks we have been helping out are not too keen on just eating them or the tea. *shrug* I figured I would be like my hubby, if someone said to poke a red hot poker into my eye and then the CH would end I would ... but then again I'm nuts. 
Greg has tried the shrooms fresh, dried (just eating them) and the tea. He found no discernable difference in the high. Ceptin that he really didn't like the really big trips. The severe giggles were good, the happy silliness was good, but the out of body trip to God was NOT good. Though for me and our three kids (young adults) we laughed our asses off at him as he walked down the hall, holding the was back (they were trying to swollow him) and his stance could not be discribed, one of those "you had to see it to believe it" (the carpet was also moving violently from his perspective).. we were litterally rolling on the floor laughing so hard, my son was crying and begging him to stop cuz he felt his gut was going to split with the laughter.
When he came down, his only comment was "glad you all had fun." my poor poor baby! ;D

PS. jonny, there could be a chance that multiple small doses, that don't get yah high, might work for you. Greg only takes 1/8 of a gram now and he bearly feels anything. If you would ever want to try let me know.
