Isn't it ironic... don't you think?
It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought... it figures
Mr. Play It Safe was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids goodbye
He waited his whole damn life to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down he thought

I really like Alanis Morrisette's first "album". Very passionate.
She lets out with uninhibited passion, what most of us females tend to keep inside.
That is probably why men (for the most part) don't care for her songs.
I also agree with Drk, that life itself is ironic. But heck, whats a little irony between friends eh? Recognizing the irony in life merely means that you can see clearly. Unfortunately, with this, comes the need to guard against cynicism, self pity, and bitterness.

There's a thin line between irony and fate but to me, to view something as ironic or fate, is to have a 'glass half full' attitude.
Alanis Morrisette has doen some good work, not that I like much of her music, but I must admit the lyrics to that song are powerful.
