Beast visiting and O2 not working, no pain meds and a 2 year old with a squeaky ball that he won't quit playing with.... Have to drive older kids up to Canada tonight and I can't even pack their clothes right now. I wish someone would come up with a med that would fucking work everytime as an abortive that my medically challenged body could handle! I swear this is going to drive me over the edge and I'll be in a looney bin. Cat

Cat ... try the jumping jack method to get your blood pumping ..... (just keep doing jumping jacks till you are ready to fall over ... when you are too tired to continue keep shaking your hands and arms) maybe your 2 year old will try and imitate you and tired himself/herself out as well ..... then try the o2 again.

Sorry to read what you're dealing with cat. Wish I lived closed enough to take the afternoon off, come over and give you a break. It's amazing how a younung will find the most annoying toy to play with and keep playing within forever. No reasoning with a two year old either. Good idea on the jumping jacks. May work.

Cat, Please try "Charlies method" I realize that's hard to do with a little one, but put her down for a nap, and try it. He's posted it enough times I think everyone knows it by heart.....& the best thing is that it works, & with no side-effects. I had to practice it for awhile, but it did work to at least keep the pain with-in tolerable levels at times. I'm not able to do it with a 8,9,or 10. But if you get it soon enough, it does work & your "medically challenged body" will love you for it. Good luck hon. Linda Howell

Thanks everyone, without the support of my cluster family I couldn't get through this with Clark gone...I could barely manage with him here. Linda, your techniques work wonders when nothing else is available, i.e. ice, black coffee, all that stuff, I've tried Charlies method (slightly altered for my own personal abilities) but Ayden won't let me concentrate long enough to type without having to stop in between. I am trying Ueli's advice and going back to the O2 for 15 min. at a time and giving a break in between...the ice gel packs seem to give the best relief.....I think because that ice pain counters the cluster pain....just wish I had more than 2...they thaw out too fast :/ Cat It wouldn't matter even if I had the pain meds...I couldn't take them because I have to drive tonight. Prolly better for me anyway hehe

Cat, did you try hot sauce, I don't put it under the toghn I just drink it. I once aborted a resilient ch by jumping on a trampoline. I guess the beast couldn't hang on.

Did ya try snorting the hot sauce yet? I recommend habanero sauce... It'll give ya a nice warm, funny feelin' that'll help distract ya from the CH. PFDAN............................. Drk^Angel

Everyone is right. My thing does take lot of concentration. It must be hard with kids. I like the jumping jacks or other exercise thing too. There was a guy who got relief standing barefoot on a cold floor in his garage. I think that it has the same effect as my method in easing circulatory pressure. Take care kid
