I am not to good with this message board. I didn't know whether to reply to my message or send a new one.
Wanted to say thank you for all of your advice. My husband MIKE has an appointment with his neuro next Friday and I am going to mention some of the meds you guys suggested. Also, we are kinda new to this and did not know about the pain med. The doctor gave it to him so we thought it was OK. Although, he did get very sick throwing up yesterday after taking a couple of the pain pills, which are vicoprofen or something like that.
We are just trying to find something to stop or control the pain. We have 2 kids and it really scares them and me when he has the bad ones. It is also hard on them because he has to cancel things he said he would do with them because of CH. We are going on a cruise in 2 weeks, I'm praying we will still get to go and he will be able to make it through. Hopefully the doctor can give him something new next week. Again thank you all for your support. I'm glad I found this place because I have never found anyone who knew what a cluster was or the kind of pain it causes. One time when I had to take Mike to the ER, I heard the nurses laughing because he came to the ER with a HA, they thought is was allergies. I tried to tell them what he was having and they just had no clue. OK that's all I could go on all day! Thanks Again!

When you post to an existing message, the message automatically goes back to the top so that people see it. You'll notice on the right hand side that the messages are date/time stamped and appear in that order. So you can say thank you in the original message and it will go to the top for all to read.
Good luck with the doctor. And have a really great time on your cruise. You might want to get something from the neuro and give it to the doctor on the ship ahead of time in case your husband needs some meds he doesn't have with him ........ I'm not familiar with travelling and needing meds that I don't have with me ... but can someone else help out here ?????????? Wouldn't want to see your cruise ruined because your husband was in pain.
