I just found this page, today was the first time a Dr has called my episodes CH. Reading over the post I can truely relate with the "monster". I have suffered since 1992 after I had a traumatic brain injury. It was more chronic then now episodes. I just tryed imitrex injection today for the first time and for the first time the pain was stopped (for now at least. I am scared to death about going to sleep. I have been up for over a week and a half prety much so far this time), I have tryed so many other drugs and options before it was wonderful. If I had to complain about anything it would have to be about the residual neck pain I have left over. This is something that nags at me between CH during a cycle. I am sorry for the long post but am curious about others that perhaps have this also and also those that suffer post injury. I am so happy to find a place that understands the torture of CH! Jeff

Welcome aboard. Lack of sleep and fear of sleeping is nothing unusual to us. Damn miserable beast. I can't say I've had neck pain or much residual pain after my attack ended. My head felt a little heavy I think but that's as far as it went. Look us over and you're welcome to contribute. Keep tabs on this thread as there will be good information here. Charlie

Welcome! This is the best site out there for CH! I can definitely relate to the neck pain. During cycle my neck hurts worse and worse. During and between attacks. It gets super knotted up. Halfway thru cycle I am taking advil and applying heat to my neck to try to get some relief! It sure can ruin the few painfree (from the CH) times you have. Stick around, you will learn a lot here! Welcome to the family casino. I cannot remember any associated neck pain from CH. The beast has discovered so many ways to have a negative impact on so many lives. I'm sure the other members of this family will respond with the information you seek.
