Greetings! I'm an old timer here (14 years of CH's) but have not been onthe board in a great while due to my clusters being taken care of (Painwise). I have noticed recently, in the past 2 months, my shadows have moved from my right temple area and into my left! I have switched sides! Has anyone else had this happen? Should I be concerned? My Nuero told me not to worry.... Any information is greatly appreciated! Pain free days and nights for all!

Welcome back to the MB Bob. Bob, last year, my pain was on my left side (atypical) and this year - right now in fact as I type this I have a mild one - they are on my right. I think you will find it is not all that uncommon to switch sides between cycles, however, it is very unusual to switch sides during a cycle. Good luck and PFDAN's to you. - Jim R

This has happened to me in the past. Seems like the SOB wants to keep you guessing when and where he will show up.

Even though i am chronic, i have two times of the year that chs are worse for me..sort of like a cycle within a cycle..anyway, my chs did switch sides..in fact a few months back, i would get the twinges on the left side and then get hit on the rite side...did it hurt more on the right side, since i was usually a left sider...it did to me..like the rite side was a virgin or something..and not used to the pain... ... ;Dnancyc

I'm a left side CH'er. One time, I had an out of cycle right side CH. It was so weird, I didn't even know what was going on at first. The right side of my brain was like Nancy said a "virgin" and it took me a while to figure out what it was. But it has only happened once and that was many years ago. Sherry

I get my CH on either side, although I may have had a few more cycles on my right than on my left. (I've even had a couple of cycles to where I've had it on both sides, but don't tell anyone.) PFDAN............................. Drk^Angel

70% of my episodic cycles occur on my right side, which garner most of the kip 8 or higher attacks. My cycles last about 3 to 4 months with a 1 to 1 1/2 year remission. However, my last 2 cycles are what I call double cycles. They started on my left side for 3 months, subsisde, then start again on my right side for another 3 months. The remission for these double cycles seem longer, more like 2 years. Slammy
