Convention question
« on: Aug 28th, 2002, 3:38pm »
Quote Quote Modify Modify

Last year at the convention, several people who lived near-by brought their 02 tanks for anyone to use that needed it, so because most of us can't bring their 02 bottles on the plane, I was wondering if there was anyone who might be bringing some this year?

I have been stock-piling my meds for a while now, but it sure would put my mind at ease to know there was 02 if I needed it....Linda

I forget who it was (I know it was a regular here) that said he could and would have a supplier  deliver 02 anywhere to a CH'er.

Maybe he will see this and set us up.

Linda, I'll see what I can find out locally. Although I have read all about oxygen use here I have never tried so while I may be able to get the oxygen I think the necessary mask part may confuse me! Any pointers? Tracy

Linda,

Warren has a small portable oxygen tank that we will bring, along with correct mask.  I know that Doug Wright from Nanaimo mentioned that he might be able to get some oxygen supplied for the weekend.  Doug - are you out there?  At least the small tank will help for emergencies.

I've started working on it.  Looks like I can get several tanks (3 H-tanks??) delivered to the hotel.  We can set them up in my room and/or the meeting room.

Non-rebreater masks are difficult to find here in canada for some stupid reason, but I'm working on it also.

You folks that use O2 may want to bring your own maks.  A BYOM party??

How many tanks we going to need, how many people are in cycle and use O2??

Working on it.

All I had to do was explain that I was unable to sit on a jury because the cluster headaches makes it nearly impossible for be to concentrate anything impartially, and could make it very difficult to sit still and quiet if an attack hits.  They excused me from being required to report for jury duty this year.
