You know it's a damm shame when you can't get help or meds from your nuro and you have to resort to asking friends if they have meds to help you out. I am still 11 days from my app. with new nuro and getting hit 6-10 times day and night with ch's and no meds.I even called my old nuro and asked if I just had to put a gun to my head to get relief [ was not serious , but he didn't know that] and he still didn't return my call. I just don't understand was not asking for narcotics just caforgot and pred. to hold me till I got to my appt. Don't nuro.have any idea how painful these things are and how they disrupt our lives. Great I feel better getting this off my chest. ??? Mustang

Mustang - not sure of your insurance status, but why not walk into one of those walk in clinics (in Michigan, they call them "intermediate Care" centers) and take some literature. I think I'd be damn pushy for some relief..... Hope you find some domm

Domm,Can't do that have an HMO and have to have primary to refer me to specialist. Don't know how much more I can push unless I just graze my head with a bullet and go to emeragency and that will cost me a 100 bill each time. Thanks for the concern.

Asked my old nuro for imitrex and he said no because they cause rebound ch's. The only things I have tried is caforgot, sancert, predizone, topamax[ bad reaction from that, this is when old nuro gave up on me].

Dear Mustang: sorry you're having it so rough right now. I had the same problem with my neuro. No call backs, etc., etc. Getting hit 8 times day/nite. I wish I could tell you that there is a quick fix. Keep trying the "home" remedies. Hot showers worked well for me for awhile. Ice works better for some. Caffeine is good too. Try to push for the imitrex. It will provide you with some relief. I used 50mg tabs. Took a while to kick in but it did allow me some sleep when I combined it with 1mg amerge at night. Good luck. Wishing you PFDAN always. Linda T
