The after glow of pain

Whew, that one really hurt but now I am in that after glow. Also nice and clean ;D. Maybe the combination of dealing with the beast in the shower and the drained but warm feeling I have after the pain is causing the peaceful moment is uniquely me or do others of you have moments like this? Head is sore but mind is at peace. I'm also noticing I am not as coherent as usual, probably a side effect of the battle. Maybe its shock that I am experiencing, just like real war soldiers.

Yeah Paul. After the worst ones a lot of time I feel like I'm at peace and at one with the universe (Flaky but true). It's also a feeling of having the entire persona stripped away and only the true-you remains. It reminds me a lot of the feeling of coming out of a deep-meditation session. Ironic.

After the beast visits I feel light on my feet and tired at the same time. Also I am less mentally all there. This happens If I med or not.

I know the feeling too. It's like a pardon from the governor. One goes from a groveling, screaming, and downright dangerous being to someone who would put up with and enjoy a visit from the Jehovah's Witnesses. Charlie

Yeah I know that feeling high as a kite, well I say high, because it feels so good to be at such a suttle state, after being in violent searing pain just moments prior. too bad it doesn't last as long

Wow, Den, the CH'ers back then were much more enlightened and open minded LOL. Actually, that "transcendence" deal is basically what I do. I had to learn that to deal with my panic attacks, so I guess I just naturally applied it to this. Gee, I wish some of those people still posted. Really cool discussions! No offense to our posting, really! But, wow. And even some of the people who still post here were being openminded and discussing it. Ok, I better shut up now before I get slammed. Sherry

Where'd they all go? I wonder if they ever think of us. Now I'm sad.

OK..I'm going all out here, hope not to offend anyone... I think I would have to compare the incredible relaxed-yet exhausting, floating, natural high, take-your-breath-away, state of awe, on another planet, melting like butter, cotton candy on the tongue feeling, all incredible, at peace, love life feeling after the beast has left the building, not unlike the feeling one might get after a good ole' romp in the hay. Anyone else?????? ;D ;D

Gee willickers Den. That romp through the old board was fun. I don’t go there like I used to. I remember now that I read every post and it took awhile to catch up. Fun though. Slammy is right too. As Julia Louis Dreyfus said on Seinfeld: Men all become farmers after sex and have to get up and out. Really cool old Charlie
