drugs like aspirin or NSAIDs that supposedly thin the blood would be helpful for a vascular type headache?

I'm not sure I fully understand the mechanics of how the CH's work (of course if I did I could probably cure them Tongue) but in my twisted logic, it seems to me that if the vasoconstrictors ease the pain, then wouldn't it help to also have a blood thinning agent such as aspirin or NSAIDs?

"Blood thinners" like Aspirin or the more specialized drugs used for this purpose don't actually "thin" the blood or make it easier to flow. They slow down the clotting of the blood, making you a poor man's version of a hemophiliac.
Of course, when the capillaries are not blocked by blood clots, the blood is free to flow. The blood will be thinner in a sense that it will not contain lumps to cause a coronary attack.
But this has nothing to do with CH. Here the vessels involved are quite large and not easily blocked.
BTW, For years I'm taking every morning a time release mini Aspirin (100 mg). This did not prevent CH to start nor me getting chronic.  Angry

I've had limited relief from NSAIDS. The can reduce a shadow but not much else.
