Started shroom therapy last Monday. Intense; wasn't as thrilled with it as Eyes_Afire was his first one, but not doing it for jollies anyhow. Maybe did too much; worst hangover I ever had - equivalent to an oz of coke and a gallon of Old Grandad (not that I ever...ahem.) ;D. Anyway, after my body quit punishing me I noticed a definate lessening of Beastial presence, noggin-wise. The experts in ths field say it'll take several doses to kick his keister, so I'm gonna stay the course. Next installment tomorrow, at a smaller dose. Nothing to lose and everything to gain - like my life back! Anyone trying this for the first time: 1- Start out conservative and work your way up, dosage-wise. 2- Don't plan on attending any functions or cleaning out the garage, ect. 3- Have somebody with you who's EXPERIENCED with this sort of thing or at least understands a calm, reassuring presence is required. Wish me luck, gang... Mike

The shuttle has landed. This time was much better - even enjoyable. Very important to err on the conservative side dosage-wise; 1g turned out to be the magic number. I was very apprehensive going into this one because I definately overdosed last Monday, but I doubt anybody who has dealt with the Beast would have any problem coping with this treatment at the proper level. It does leave you with a mild hangover HA but really no problemo (we who know what a HA CAN be...). Hoping to get a good night's rest tonight and see how things are tomorrow; may be a couple days for a definative evaluation. Considering what I've been thru with Sansert (ugh), Prednisone (yak), Zomig/Amerge (so this is what a heart attack feels like), Imitrex (I'm a human pincushion), Verapamil (is this stuff doing anything at all?) ect ect, today was a Sunday ice-cream social. If this stuff does the job I'm gonna scream it from the rooftops! Will keep ya posted. PFDAN, everyone...

Mike, Be careful not to underdose for your next few treatments. I suspect that I wasn't taking enough for mine and that I might have seen complete relief quicker had I dosed with 2-3 grams at a time rather than the 1-1.5g I was taking. Nonetheless, each dose still got me through a week of work ;D. And the "hangover" went away for me eventually on the days after treatment. Good luck man, we'll all be thinking of you. -R

Rick- I hear ya. Thing is, like Pinky suggested, some folks are more sensitive and not all shrooms are equal. Last Monday's 2g's kicked mah butt all over mah yard. so to speak, and the hangover lasted most of the week. Unless I build up a resistance to this stuff, 3g's would be out of the question, short of a padded cell, a team of psychiatrists and a load of Thorazine. I would be willing to continue at less than 2g's for the next few weekends... I would certainly like to hear from any and all concerning their experiences and results...Mike

I wish you luck with it gman. I just wish I could try it. For me it is far too risky a proposition right now. Although I did tell my doc about it and told her that folks were having great success, her response was "Hey, if the legal drugs don't work, you have to do what you have to do". Cat

Rick - Can't remember at the moment but have the name at home - will pass it along later. Seems like it was the one most commonly recommended by the folks at Hawkseye. Thanks for the response, hedfirst. Sure glad to hear of your success. Were you episodic or chronic? If I was sure another 2g dose would do it I guess I would, but, aarrgggh...

Ok, Rick, the strain is "PC Thailand - koh samui". Where on the potency scale does it register? I just can't see ANYBODY doing 3g's and not wigging out. Two had me wrapped in a blanket on the couch hyperventilating into a rebreather bag for two hours+ another 5-6 rushing like crazy, and I really don't think I'm THAT sensitive... Hey, Donna, thanks for the kind words. Cat, why is it too risky? Are you referring to job- or personal reasons? It's highly none of my biz, of course, but I'd drink a gallon of skunk juice to get rid of this abomination if it would do the job...
