"The hypothalamus is one of the most important parts of the brain, involved in many kinds of motivation, among other functions. The hypothalamus controls the "Four F's": 1. fighting 2. fleeing 3. feeding 4. mating It is also referred to as the "married man motivator" (the first 2 are only suggestions) Ted, I am a registered Republican. Not because I believe in the Republican cause but because, like most Demecrates, when I registered, I couldn't spell Democrate so I just put Republican.

You can have the nerve severed... But it might not stop the CH. It will definately leave you with severe numbing. And severing the hypothalimus isn't really a food idea either. It's involved with so many hormonal functions, that you'd either die of a chemical imbalance, or wish you were dead... And there's no proof that it would even cure the CH. Dunno about you, but I'd rather not do any proceedure that is irreverseable, in case it didn't work. PFDAN........................ Drk^Angel

It's #3 and #4 that make me love and keep my hypothalmus gland no matter how many dirty tricks it plays on me.
