I offer this info for whatever it's worth. I'm a veteren of clusters for 35 years. Every 3 years they return for 3-6 months. This time I didn't wait to see if the attacks were a fluke. After the 2nd one I got out of denial and called the doc. I started maximum dosage of Verapamil as opposed to a gradual buildup. Lo and behold I have been almost PF and when I get that feeling I take a Maxalt and it has been thwarting the attacks. It's been 2 weeks and I'm living normally with just a bit of fear and doubt that this is too good to be true. Just wanted to share. If it helps only one person then my day is complete.

Hi sure it is possible! I know a friend of mine has always said that if you catch it in time you can do this. Get to the doctor as soon as you can. If it hits the same time each year get to the doctor and get started before they hit. You may never see a cluster again. I am going to the doctor tomorry myself hoping to get some new meds maybe I can do the same as you and get a few months relief. godd luck Elaine
