hey guys...hope you all are well...thanks to pink i haven't been around in a while..infact over 1 yr pf...i im'd tony's wife brenda today thinking it was tony...i hadn't been to the MB in quite some time and was shocked when BRENDA responded to my taunts...i guess by now you all know bout tony...brenda told me they don't know what he died from..it was in his sleep..she was called back from deployment...but tony had recently gone on methadone (according to brenda)...she said it was for CH...and at this stage she said their initial reaction is that it could have played a role in his untimely death...so be careful out there folks!...methadone for ch????

Geoff,
My nuero tried me on methadone as an alternitive to Talwin, It almost killed me, I went into shock and had to be rushed into the hospital and was coded 2 times, I had been on Talwin for 6 years and the two don't mix, sometimes the Doctors dont read the PDR close enough, it actually say's it backwards in the precautions, not to give anyone on methadone talwin because it throws you into severe withdrawl syndrome, but I guess he thought since it was talwin to methadone it would be OK? It wasn't!  Pappy

Hello everyone,
I know that you guys do not know who i am but I am Tony G's wife Brenda....I would have posted earlier but I have not actually had the time to post considering all that i have been through in the last few days...Tony's mom posted about his death....I know that Tony has alot of friends here, and that he has pissed off alot of you guys here as well...no matter what you think he meant well...i miss my best friend...alot of you guys knew what he was going through better than i did...he did not start going through the headaches again until i joined the army...all of you have been a big part of his life while i was going through basic training and ait...then i was deployed to bosnia for five months...i know that this was hard on him and the kids...i wish that i could have been here for him and to help him through all that he was going through...i feel that if i had been here this would not have happened...none the less, i want to warn everyone who suffers this painful condition, that there are dreadful effects to trying to rid the pain that you all suffer...mixing the meds that are prescribed is a deadly combination...so when you think that it can't get any worse, think of those that you will be leaving behind....i wish that i could turn back the hands of time and have my husband and best friend back...PF to all of you and take care... Brenda

Brenda, please don't ever blame yourself.  Tony would not want you to feel that way, like it was your fault.  Living with clusters is quite a gamble the way it is, the fact that we all have made it this far is promising.  Hopefully someday, there will be just one magic pill specifically made for ch'ers, until then, it's trial and error.  Please know, that Tony was a friend to me, he was always kind to me, and willing to listen to my troubled rambling, lol.  I'll miss him, but I know he's in a better place, and not in pain.  Thank you so much for your post, and your concern, I can see why he loved, and still loves, you immensely.  If there are any questions you want to ask us, please let us know and we'll try our best to answer them.

Take care,
Melissa

Brenda, as Mel said...dont feel guilty...Tony loved you very much and was so grateful you were there for him...Tony was a good friend to me...I am chronic and could not afford to buy imitrex shots as fast as i was using them...Tony would mail me big boxes of shots to get me thru...he used to call alot to check on me..I was his big sister....He would always talk about you and the kids...he even sent me pics of you and the kids...I especially liked your wedding picture...He was so proud of you..He often told me you were not only his wife but His BEST FRIEND....Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you ...You were Tony's angel and he loved you very much...smiles,nancyc
