Ok, this is going to sound really crazy--so by all means feel free to ridicule, make faces, or send me these: But after I get home from work and teaching evening classes, I often grab whatever is easiest to eat. In the last few weeks on 3 occasions I've had oatmeal for dinner: made with milk, along with a little brown sugar and some toast. On each of those nights, I've had headache free nights. This happened again last night. So anyone care to join me in experimenting? I haven't tried it two nights in a row--that's tonights task. So perhaps tomorrow I'll be writing with egg (or oatmeal) on my face. But regardless, I do wish you all blissful sleep and painfree nights.

Well it's cheaper than imitrex. Dont inform the insurance company though. First thing they'll do is refuse to pay for the "apple and cinnimon".

Hi Dave...I don't know how your cycles work, but towards the end of my cycle I do this HA every other nite kind of thing...then every 3rd nite etc. So...MAYBE you are heading toward the end of your cycle and doing every other nite? But you'll know soon enough if you continue to test the oatmeal Take care, good luck, and let us know!

David - perhaps because oatmeal is full of protein and that goes towards making seritonin?? It also has loads of calcium - ?

Nevermind. Was awakened by one headache last night. Since I've been getting 1 -4 HA's per night, the oatmeal made no difference. The other instances were probably coincidences. Damn beast is crafty, ain't he? Bastard.

I am sure the beast reads the bloody message board. Many a time I have announced something has worked, or my cycle is over, and then BAM!!!! he returns with vengance.....you gotta whisper. Jayne
